Around 9:30 we arrived at Piazza S. Peter, the symbol of a mother church that welcomes all humanity. Pope Benedict XVI arrived at 10.30, before beginning the hearing has been around on his "pope mobile", receiving warmest greetings to all.
The Pope's catechesis was done for the fourth time in a woman medieval Catholic Europe, Santa Brigida. There seemed to be true. Within minutes of waiting, language after language, name after name, anxiety was sky high and that long list seemed endless, then we could finally give vent to our emotions with a strong response to the cry of thanks of the Pope, especially so wanted to thank the faithful from the diocese of Sulmona Valva, accompanied by Bishop Angelo Spina, who wished to reciprocate the visit of the Pope's July 4, 2010 in Sulmona.
After the General Audience, Benedict XVI also appealed on the terrible 'tsunami' that hit the coastlines of Indonesia, also affected by a volcanic eruption. The pontiff expressed his heartfelt condolences to the victims and expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the people of Benin, affected by continuous flooding. He also urged the international community to provide all possible help for this population.
